Research Areas
Our research covers four main areas – from sustainability and greening to security, advanced SMART materials, and digital technologies.
SMART materials
Basic research and industrial development of hybrid composites and coating systems with electromagnetic shielding function for the construction of data centers, hospitals, laboratories, or "smart buildings" that require protection of sensitive electronics and data security.

Critical infrastructure and soft targets
We develop and validate materials and structural solutions to enhance the resilience of structures against mechanical stress, fire, degradation, and extraordinary events. Our focus is on applications for critical infrastructure, public buildings, and other exposed facilities where reliability, durability, and predictable material behavior are paramount.

Digitalization and artificial intelligence
We integrate digital modeling, data processing, and automated evaluation of test results into both material research and assessment. Data analytics and artificial intelligence elements help us more quickly identify the relationships between composition, manufacturing technology, and the resulting material properties, enabling us to design further development more efficiently.
