The Research Institute of Building Materials a.s. (VÚSH), in accordance with Act No. 171/2023 Coll. on the protection of whistleblowers, informs whistleblowers about the process for submitting reports and the protection of their rights.

Basic Information

Whistleblower Rights

Whistleblowers must not face retaliation. The law protects their status and facilitates the safe reporting of potential unlawful conduct.

Benefits for Employers

The reporting system enables VÚSH to promptly detect and address any problematic practices and activities.

Who Can Report

Employees, job applicants, business partners, and other individuals performing work or similar activities for VÚSH.

Notice

Protection under the law does not apply to whistleblowers who knowingly provide false information.

What can be reported

The report concerns possible unlawful conduct that the reporting person became aware of in connection with their work or similar activity:

Criminal offense

Report of a possible criminal offense

Serious offense

An offense carrying a fine of at least CZK 100,000

Violation of regulations

Violation of law or European Union legal regulations in areas defined by law

Steps

Notification Handling Process

Submitting a Notification

Notifications can be submitted orally or in writing; upon the whistleblower's request, also in person.

Receipt Confirmation

The responsible person will confirm receipt of the notification within 7 days.

Review

The whistleblower will be informed of the outcome of the notification review within 30 days. This period can be extended twice by 30 days.

Proposal of Measures

The responsible person will propose measures to prevent or rectify unlawful conduct.

Archiving

Notifications are archived for 5 years.
