Research Areas
Our research covers four main areas – from sustainability and greening to security, advanced SMART materials, and digital technologies.
Security
Research and development in critical infrastructure security aimed at increasing the resilience and long-term reliability of structures. Research and development minimizing risks and enhancing the security of soft targets.
Research and development in energy and raw material security aimed at reducing emissions and energy intensity of production, extending material lifespan, and efficient resource utilization. We focus on developing innovative materials and technologies that replace scarce primary raw materials with more accessible and sustainable alternatives, strengthening the stability of construction production and infrastructure resilience.

Protection of critical infrastructure
Development of materials and system solutions to increase the resilience of critical infrastructure objects against accidental or targeted attacks. Research into material behavior at high deformation rates, numerical simulations of rapid events.
